What is Kundalini Yoga?
Kundalini Yoga is a highly effective, ancient technology to awaken your awareness, your human consciousness and take you into your original self. It is a natural unfolding of your own nature. Happiness and mastery of the spiritual core of life is a simple and direct practice. It is based on special exercises, relaxation, different kinds of meditations, the use of mudras or hands seals, mantras or sound formulas, and pranayamas or breathing exercises to control Prana, the vital energy.
Kundalini Yoga takes you to an understanding of the infinite energy, the spirit within you. It develops your relationship with your mental potential and allows you to transcend and transform your subconscious habits to be able to expand and experience that your mind has an infinite horizon.

Asana, Pranayama and Mantra
It uses sets of yogic postures and movements (asana) with meditative focus, breath work (pranayama), and chanting (mantra). As a beginning student, participate at a pace that suits your flexibility and endurance. Wear loose, comfortable clothing, preferably made of cotton or other natural, breathable fiber. It is best to remove your socks to help stimulate the approximately 72,000 nerve endings in your feet. Wait two to three hours after eating before you practice yoga and meditation. This will help you gain the maximum benefits, plus it is easier to exercise on an empty stomach. If you must eat, have something very light. Bring your yoga mat.
