What we will be doing:

We will tune in with a meditation designed for what Yogi Bhajan termed “Cold Depression” – a term referring to our spiritual, emotional and physical state when “chi” is not flowing. This meditation gives us the strength and ability to tap into the infinite source of energy that is within our own Soul. It is designed specifically for what is occurring as we are entering this Age of Aquarius.

Afterwards, we will be led into a sacred space of sound alchemy & soul retrieval with a Native American rattle & flute, followed by a soul penetrating immersion of Jupiter & Venus planetary gongs. Together, their sound will infuse the meditation into your cellular system and tune us into trusting the Universe. Their synergy grants openness, grace, and expansion, while enhancing the ability to feel and have close relationships with others. Paired with this meditation, they allow us to access our own light without fear.

Why you should join us:

We are experiencing many shifts; some quite disorienting. This was prophesied by Yogi Bhajan, the Father of Kundalini Yoga, as a warning many years ago that during this time period humans would start experiencing “Cold Depression”. The term “energy” is everywhere these days – energy bars, energy crisis, energy drinks. People are seeking “energy” in external sources only to return to feeling even lower in energy and wondering why.

The rules of the Aquarian Age are different from the Piscean Age, where we could obtain energy from outside of ourselves. These shifts are an opportunity for us to access our true source of energy: the infinite flow of the voice of our own Soul. Kundalini Yoga gives us tools to help us access this source.

This month is especially powerful, as sound alchemy is amplified with two gongs instead of one. This will create even more of a shift in your consciousness. In a group, community setting, you are supported and nourished.

What to Bring, Wear and Expect:
Wear something warm and cozy. We will do a group seated meditation and then lay down in savasana for approximately 40 minutes. There are cushions, mats and blankets available at the studio, but you might want to bring more, so you can be as cozy as possible.

Bio: Surjeet Kaur (Jenn Shultz) is a Certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor, a well-known San Diego Raw Food Chef and currently completing her 2nd year Gong apprenticeship with Gong Master Sotantar. Friday represents Venus and the goddess of Love. Journey with Venus Gong and her ensemble of planetary gongs on Friday May 11, 2012 and be embraced with infinite love and joy of her vibration.
This gong celebration will embrace the protective and guiding light of MA. The vibration of MA and all her elements on earth bring to you comfort, abundance and protection. Venus will be joined by the creativity of Neptune, the clarity and experience of platonic earth and the balance and protection of elemental earth gong.

Each gong has a unique vibration that opens and transforms the energy vortexes of the body to initiate energetic freedom and healing. When we have energetic freedom we feel alive and Joyous while attracting the people and things that serve our purpose in life.

This gong concert and healing vibration(two hour sound immersion along with 1 hour of light yoga warm-ups and chanting) is focused on listening and feeling the benefits of the your own voice and the gongs. Note: Preparation: The journey will also include a few light physical warms ups to prepare the body for accepting the benefits of the gong vibrations-So bring a yoga mat and comfortable yoga clothing. Treat the experience as if you were camping out in nature for about two hours- so be sure to bring something comfortable to lay on, eye pillow and possibly a head pillow.
