3HO Foundation San Diego
We are one of the more than 300 centers in 35 countries inspired by the teachings of Yogi Bhajan, Ph.D., Master of Kundalini Yoga. The 3HO Foundation, founded by Yogi Bhajan in 1969, revolves around the simple belief that to be healthy, happy and holy is the essence of a fulfilled life. So effective and influential has the 3HO Foundation become, that in May of 1994, it was recognized by the United Nations as a Non-Governmental Organization. Since then, Yogi Bhajan’s wife, Bibi Inderjit Kaur, Ph.D., and other 3HO Representatives have attended and made presentations at numerous UN sponsored forums, conferences and functions.
Here in San Diego we have held dear the teachings of Yogi Bhajan, and for the last 30 years we have been dedicated to the advancement of the individual through education, science and spiritual development.
Sikh Dharma is called the path of the student. It is based on three pillars: the technology of the sound current in meditation that is done every day, honest living and service.
Sikh Dharma is the way of life of a student of Infinity who is humble, serves all and brings consciousness into committed action. Kundalini Yoga is the Yoga of consciousness and prepares the student and enhances in him or her capacity to hear the sound current, the vibratory impact of the Word, and the divine essence of sound. The technology of the Sound current is a fundamental tool to cut the ego and open the 7th Chakra. An enlightened person is the one whose actions become an example that serves as a Light house to give direction to others, keep up the other’s person’s spirit, keep the candle burning and pass on knowledge. Dharma means “elegant and selfless action”. It is a way of living synchronized with spirit, love, compassion and kindness.
Sikh Dharma and Kundalini Yoga
Both Kundalini Yoga and Sikh Dharma are the combined science of the House of Guru Ram Das brought to us through Yogi Bhajan. The ten Gurus of Sikh Dharma that confirmed the spirit of Guru Ram Das served a key function to open the practices of Raj Yoga to all people regardless of caste, creed, color, gender or age.
